ECCN Classification for Advanced Compute

For data centers deploying AI training and inference hardware — GPU servers (NVIDIA HGX, DGX systems), AI accelerator cards, and advanced compute infrastructure — ECCN classification under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) is a critical part of the IOR scope. ECCN 3A090 covers AI accelerators and high-performance GPUs; ECCN 4A090 covers systems containing them. The Framework for Artificial Intelligence Diffusion (effective January 2025) introduced country-tier licensing requirements for these classifications. IOR Service maintains in-house ECCN classification capability — every shipment is classified, licensing requirements assessed, and where required, export licenses obtained before shipment leaves the origin.
